Peter McGregor-Scott coproduced the film and supervised the hi-def transfer. He discusses beginning at 7:35 of the Special Feature 'Derailed: Anatomy of a train Wreck' the REMOVAL of the face of a person watching, a face no one in 7 years had noticed until he saw it on a large monitor reviewing the new master. He states repeatedly that he then removed that stray face. Well, in the HD DVD I have, that face is STILL there, at 18:55 - 57 of the movie.

Hmm...I guess someone erred or I misunderstand his statments.

This was discussed a little just after the HD-DVD hit the streets last year.

The face is not there on the newest dvd release but is there on the HD-DVD. So either the transfer on the HD-DVD isn't the newest version or the face removal was only done on a standard def master used for the dvd.

On top of this confusion is this is one of the Warner titles that has been reported to be from a 1080i source. Can't wait for a comparison.

Ask (or, in this case, demand) and you shall receive.

What is he doing there?

Now what about that 'thing' at the end of Teen Wolf?(don't ask for screens)

Will that be in the HD release?

Can I get a second opinion on this movie from somebody? Is this worth buying even though it's a bobbed 1080i? I love this movie and I'm a big Harrison Ford fan, but I've heard many bad reviews on this. Is it a film grain issue or is the print bad? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

it is not bobbed, it only has aliasing problems and it actually looks very good and is a solid release IMHO, it is nothing like the aliasing in Lethal Weapon II

Fugitive and Jacket are both top notch in my book and look how they should in regards to grain, sharpness and detail levels, I am thankful and glad to be able to own them

I think I'll ignore my stubborn side and go ahead and get a copy of this. Maybe I should avoid the tier thread because there are quite a few movies on there that some people don't seem to have a very high opinion of. I watch HD Net Movies and they're not perfect either. It sure has to be a step up from my old SD copy. I just hate to get double-dipped on movies which is sometimes why I hesitate to buy them. Thanks Gary for your opinion.

I agree that The Fugitive looks decent and that Legal Wreckin 2 is a nightmare. But I disagree about Full Metal Jacket looking top notch. Hell, just take a look at the opening titles to see what kind of problems that transfer has.

You said the same thing about Spartacus on HD-DVD and from the screenshots and many reports it looks like garbage on a disc.

Just the way he should appear on film, bound and gagged!

Forgive my morbid curiosity, but I LOVE Teenwolf (grew up watching it once a week for a few summers) and I don't know what you're talking about.. if it's not fit for general discussion a PM will suffice
Thanks.

If I recall, it was an extra in the stands of the basketball game hanging brain after they won at the end.

Do a google search on "teen wolf" + "penis"

A guy in the stands takes out his "equipment" during the ending celebration.
