The First DTS X Amplifier : Codenamed "いなかもの"
Code named the "Inakamono" (in a kimono).

If that wasn't enough, the list of features made it obvious:

Bluetooth, Airplay & Kinetic Audio (BAKA) ready [baka = Japanese for fool]
Digital Uniform Mono Block power supply [aka DUMB]
Assisted Stimulated Stereo (ASS)
patented Denon Brownout Special (BS) Auxiliary Power Mode

Actually there's more than meets the eye...
Try translating Inakamono :)

But having said that, I predicted the monoblock design in 2012... and it's now part of the 7200 design

It's a "ka" not "ki". "Inakamono" means "person from the country", "country bumpkin". Not sure how that plays into the "joke" but the contrived acronyms that follow make it pretty obvious it's meant to be one, at least.

Xlr outputs as well!! Damn Shame it was just a joke. The x9100 would have had the Marantz beaten.

IMHO, the features posted should not be a piped dream...
They are gleaned from the wishlist that I have, and from others in this forum..

Actually, any legal eagles out there? Can I patent some of these features or acronyms?

The items I actually want, if D&M are listening...

___________________________________________

- 8 purpose built DSPs, twice that of the current models with twice the amount of RAM, thus making sure this model is future proof for any new sound formats
- Atmos, Auro and DTS-X ready out of the box
- 150w, 13 channels, all channels driven, doubling to 300W into 4ohms and stable into 2 ohms
- 13 channels active simultaneously
- 16 pre-outs and 4 subwoofer outputs
- XLR outputs for all pre-outs and 2 XLR inputs
- 10 HDMI inputs
- Fanless design, with 5kg of pure aluminum cooling fins and a central wind tunnel
- all input sockets are platinum plated for durability and conductance
- All new Audyssey Diamond: able to equalise 4 subwoofers, and a maximum of 20 speakers at once, and equipped with memory for 6 sound formats with switching on the fly (under 1 minute loading time).
- Bluetooth, Airplay & Kinetic Audio (BAKA) ready: a new sound format KINETIC has better range and sound quality compared to the current Airplay or Bluetooth technology
- Mono Block power supply: capable of driving speakers down to 2 ohms and reaching a current supply of 35A all channels driven
- Toroidal transformer...

I think it's time for you Pete to head the engineering department at D&M :) make this pipe dream a reality.

I'll give you 3 months, I don't have much patience :p

We should at least have 13.1, I put all those speakers in for it!
Plus be able to change sound formats on the fly from Atmos to DTS-X
Wonder how long we have to wait for this to happen?
