The Lowest (and smallest) Sub woofer in the Universe?

Man I wish that this sub would fit in my home theater!

Actually, now that I think about it, Black holes are a singularity, so it should fit with out any problems. I don't think my house (let alone the solar system) could survive the gravity of it though.

I believe thebland is trying to commision Mark Seaton to duplicate a smaller one for HT. :D
Well certainly the subwoofer you outline above would flatten the frequency response of the room :D

Regards,
I guess this Black Hole Subwoofer simply can't compete....probably has the low frequency response of my cell phone's speaker.
That sub claims it goes to 20Hz. Of course, it doesn't list the rolloff, so it may be -50db or more.

Seriously, though, it must be better than your cell phone. It has a 4" woofer. WOW!!
Ahh....but you have not see my cell phone - I have wired up a couple of 12" Shivas in an infinite baffle design....sure it is a little cumbersome to carry around but the expression on bystander's faces when my new "Slim Shady" ring-tone goes off is well worth the trouble. Can you knight me the "Duke of Overkill" :D
I dub thee Sir Bling Bling of Cellular Bass.
More Information . It looks like the note the sub is playing is: 57 octaves below B-flat above middle C.

I no musical knowledge, what would that note be in hertz?
Assuming I can do math in my head before my morning coffee, it's on the order of 1x10^-16 Hz or

0.00000000000000001 Hz (hope I got the right number of zeros)

In other words, it's science publishing stories to wow the masses when it doesn't mean squat! That comes to one cycle per tens of billions of years.

Macchiato, here I come! If I screwed this up, be nice. ;)

Cheers,

Bill

My arm chair numbers are coming out to be a cycle every million years or so.

My understanding is that two of the biggest issues are:

1) Shipping costs

2) WAF, some wifes have complained that it with a black hole sub, husbands seem to be in the HT "forever  "

ROFL, yeah, I wonder what UPS charges for shipping a 6 x 10^39 kg package......

Do you think they'd cover it in their insurance? :D
If they won't bring it to you, the sub will bring you to it.
you just have it ship itself by having it dive itself through itself (a infinitesimal bit of mobius fun). It would be everywhere and anywhere in all time or no time, depending on how you want or can realize or not realize it.

But one thing we do know, is that the bass would suck to a level that is beyond belief.
