Get ready to re-enter the Matrix.
Lana Wachowski is set to write and direct a fourth film set in the world of “The Matrix,”

with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprising their roles as Neo and Trinity, respectively.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures will produce and globally distribute the film.

Warner Bros. Picture Group chairman Toby Emmerich made the announcement on Tuesday.
“We could not be more excited to be re-entering

‘The Matrix’ with Lana,” said Emmerich.
“Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker —
and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in ‘The Matrix’ universe.”

After the 'John Wick' films, Keanu is prepared to really kick some ass this time around. :)

Matrix 3 was limping at the finish line, so not putting much faith in 4. Though I wish all success.

Neo awakens, in a cold sweat, out of breath and screaming in agony and utter distress.

Trinity places her hand on his shoulder and asks what is going on.

Neo explains the Luke didn't show up to fight Kylo and Star Wars in shambles.

They both grab rotary phones, the buzz of the dial tone gives way to a squeal that pierces their ears as they go a long time ago to a place far away...

I will join my voice with Chris Evangelista of Slashfilm who basically said "this was awesome when it was new - it's not new anymore - instead of doing this, do something awesome that is new."

Sequels for sequels sake are annoying, tired and boring. If they don't have anything truly new and fresh to talk about they're just wasting time.

While I was a HUGE fan of the first movie, saw it I think 7 times in the theater, and I enjoyed the 2 follow up's I don't know what to say about this. I mean if it takes place after the 3rd, what would it even cover, Trinity (Carrie Ann Moss) is dead, and Neo after he went all gold jesus on us is I don't know where. Its been a while so I can't remember if he survived or not although I want to say he did. So I mean where does the story go? Does he turn into "real world" Jesus and revive Trinity, again, I don't know. Maybe taking place before the 2 follow ups who knows. I just don't know if I have much faith in them anymore, visionary sure, but their execution especially after the first ad their various other projects was shall we say not great. Certainly pretty looking movies but pretty was about all the had.

Come on you guys, give the sisters a chance. :) Perhaps, they can pull something new out of their hats.

Awesome and new will never get financing welcome to 2019. People don't watch new/they don't go they complain but they don't go. 'Take ye thy fate for it was determined for ye and will not be changed "
