i have the settings looking very good...but the picture all together doesnt have that snap like some ive seen. im using a matte white screen...is it possible that a video spectra 1.5 gain would help?

Matt,

How wide is your screen? What's the distance from the screen to the Projector?


You've got a few options for increasing brightness:

1.) Increase screen gain.

2.) Move projector closer to screen if you can.

3.) Reduce screen size.


If you've used PjCalc for setting up the projector to screen distance, especially if you have a 16:9 aspect ratio screen, you can move the PJ 5% to 8% closer to the screen, and get a corresponding increase in brightness.

Yeah, in addition to decreasing your throw distance you could try increasing the raster size to use more phosphor area. Of course if you have even a bit of wear on your tube phosphors you will obviously notice non-uniform color.
