David,

I really hope it will be better than the r1, but did you check the features:

-2 DD 5.1 tracks.

-2 DTS 5.1 tracks.

-2 commentaries.

-the flick (126 min)

-making of(28min)

-trailer

-documentary(26min).....

It seems a little too much for a dvd09. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

We'll see.

PS: David, comprends-tu la langue de molière, my friend ?

thechnically, if it's indeed a single disc ( likely ), the video could/would suffer ( typical of French reg 2 dvds with 4-5 audio tracks, they don't get it ! ).

but the colorimetry and contrast are said to be more what Anaud wanted.

we'll see. review end of November.

David,

Indeed, it's a dvd9.

Scary, isn't it.

I must admit though that sleepy hollow french release looked very very good (better than the R1?!) and it had 2 5.1 tracks, 2 DTS tracks, bonus features. And this flick is very difficult to transfer on video. So I still hope a miracle for stalingrad.

Wait and see.

salut Stephane! :)

I have SHollow reg 1 and 2 also. The region 2 is loaded with dd and dts indeed and still manages to have a brighter image, with seemingly not much compression problems if any. The region 1 is darker and doesn't have the INCREDIBLE DTS English track of the region 2. But the colors+ density seem better. I have to check the bit rate to see what we can see :D

cheers

Roland,

Dark city french edition is not a pathé but a metropolitan DVD

(released by TF1 vidéo).
