The War of the Worlds- BBC One

a three-episode BBC miniseries based on the classic science fiction tale by H.G. Wells is coming to BBC One later this Fall...unlike other adaptations, such as Steven Spielberg's 2005 film, BBC's War of the Worlds is a period drama, set a few years later than Wells' book, in Edwardian England...the series stars Rafe Spall, Eleanor Tomlinson, Rupert Graves and Robert Carlyle as earthlings caught up in the panic after a meteor bearing extermination-minded aliens lands in the usually placid British countryside...Craig Viveiros directs...

I love the fact that they are going back to the original setting of the story...looks great

Looks great. I always love the original story back in the early 1900's or late 1800's. Where can one get BBC One. Thanks

I'm guessing it'll also come to BBC America HD which is available as part of a lot of cable packages (it's part of my FiOS package)...I think there's also an app available via Apple TV etc

Only in the U.K.

Confirmed. It has been on AMC+ / AMC Premiere for some time. I figured it was part of the BBC America channel for AMC Networks.

It must have recently hit some new licensing window. My FIRE TV search shows I can watch it on AMC+, The Roku Channel, Tubi TV or Peacock.
