I dont know if I am barking up the wrong tree - but i am interested in considering using a device like the Replay tV to display on my computer screen too. Are any of the outputs (ethernet/vga) designed to be usded directly on your display.

Even more unlikely - i guess there is no software for the Mac in all this (I have a great new 22" LCD display that would be a great TV too).

any thoughts ?

I watch the Showstopper programs on my computer all the time. I use an ATI All-in-wonder card. Just hook up the output from Showstopper into a VCR using the RCA cables... then coax out from the VCR into the All-in-Wonder card.

Sorry.. I'm not a MAC guy. I don't know if the MAC has equivalent capability.

I hope this answers your question.

A computer screen is just a TV with a lot more pixels and no tuner. Realize that any monitor is way beyond the needs of any NTSC device, and you'll see no gains versus a TV. In fact, you may notice how POOR the picture quality from NTSC really is :D
