i've only had the console for a day now, so this is with limited experience. but i can say that i no longer notice the lag that i DID notice with the original xbox. being on a samsung dlp, i have a worst offender for lag. i don't know what other people are saying now that they've really played these a bit in their own HT's, but i find it a big problem solver over the original. i'm happy now with the responsiveness of my xbox 360. i'd have bought it for that alone. any other comments about the latency that was harped on so much in other threads about the original xbox? i'm finding the 360 works well enough that gameplay for me is great without the lag i used to just kind of feel a little bit.
All 360 games run in 720p or 1080i so lag with your DLP (which was due to upconversion) is no longer relevant as all the games run in the higher res, thus eliminating the precise reason you had lag with 480 games...
