I'm considering a purchase of a pair of Thiel CS7's. Cosmetically and sonically they sound great given the present owners system which is considerably pricier and newer than my own. I have two issues at hand. One, the Thiels woofer cement surrounds around the woofer reveal some rather noteable cracks. From what I've read, the 7.2's used a different surround to eliminate this. Does this situation tend to become progressively worse with time and begin to alter sound reproduction at some point. Secondly, I would be using an older McIntosh model 2002 amp rated at 200W/channel and a Mac 31 preamp. They are currently driving a pair of Kef Model 105.3's and do a great job of it. But will they be enough to satisfactorily drive the Thiels? Thanks for your help in advance. cfmD35
