Once you know that you're not rainbow prone, LT150 is a great buy. Just check it out and grab one before it's gone. LT150z is 1K more for the same machine with the zoom lens.

How can one tell if they are immune to rainbow effects. Is there a litmus test for this?

Check one out in person Poor rainbow test is if you can see the blades on a spinning ceiling fan then you may be rainbow prone.
