Third-party component cables?

I was just wondering what peoples opinions about third-party component cables for the wii are. Should I just get the nintendo ones, or would buying a cheap set off of ebay give me the same effect?

I got a set of the Wii Psyclone cables at Walmart for $20 which work just fine. Unfortunately I have nothing to compare it to though.

IMHO, and from having read other people's anecdotes--as long as you don't buy the $60 ones, you should be fine. Not that the $60 ones won't/don't work but they are clearly overkill, from a bang-for-the-buck standpoint. The Nintendo ones (available for purchase at Nintendo.com) or the $20-ish React or Psyclone ones (when you can find them at Walmart/Target/BB) are more than adequate. The Play-asia ones (IIRC, $15 online) apparently will do just as well, and are the least-expensive of the bunch...so that's another option for you.
The best cables, aside from the Official Nintendo cables, appear to be the $25 React cables and the $20 Psyclone cables... which are physically identical cables. They differ in price and packaging only.

The MadCatz cables have had issues for some people, and the $60 Psyclone cables noticeably softened the image in my particular setup compared to the cheaper cables.

Also, aren't there at least half a dozen threads that already talk about this exact topic on the first two pages of threads?
