This is going to sound like a total noob question, but --

Do RP-LCD Tv's require convergence? If so, is it as likely to drift as RP CRT is? Thanks.

The 3 screens in RP LCDs are aliggned mechanically at the factory and since the positon of the fixed pixels can not change within a screen no drifting can occur as it can with the beams in a CRT which are controlled by magnetic fields.
No one has EVER seen an LCD projector or RPTV that had pixels out of convergence.

So its more a matter of, it won't be perfect but it won't get any worse? I think I can live with that.
As a follow up -- does D-ILA need to be converged?

I think you probably could live with it, but there are many for whom it would be an issue. As for getting worse, what has been shown to occur in LCD's is that over a period of time, there is minor deterioration caused by exposure to the high intensity light, causing cracks in the LCD pixels, which allow small amounts of light leakage which causes deterioration of the contrast. That doesn't mean alignment will shift though. That should remain constant.
