I'm sure I'm getting a 58-63" Plasma, most likely Samusung PN58B560, and will be planning on having it mounted on an inside drywall/plaster wall. Is the mount linked to below appropriate for this tv?

I've seen good comments here about MonoPrice, and on their site, but I can't get over how inexpensive the mounts are there vs. ones being sold for $150-300 on a lot of sites. Is there some huge difference, or are most sites just taking advantage of the fact that buyers are already on their site, and likely to order the expensive mounts out of convenience?

Here is the mount I am looking at:

If I don't get the 58B560, I'd be getting a 60PS60 from LG or the 63B550 from Samsung.

Thanks.

Yeah, I had seen that. I guess my bigger question is trying to figure out why they are so darn inexpensive. Everyone seems to have good things to say about MonoPrice, but it seems "too easy" to save a bunch of money by getting the mount there, so just wondering if there is something I'm missing.

The mount should work fine for any three choice you have listed as there are VESA standard (600mm x 400mm).

Monoprice answer for how they can sell it for less:
Why Our Prices are the Best

MonoPrice.com eliminates high costs for fancy packaging and middlemen. Also, we are able to purchase in large volume. You as a customer just pay for the quality of the cables and accessories. We ensure customer satisfaction by pricing our products as closely as possible to wholesale cost. Because we are highly customer service oriented, we like to think of MonoPrice.com as a service rather than a store. Please don't forget to check our resellerratings.com customer ratings and reviews. If you haven't yet purchased online, this is the best way to start!!

When Monoprice can sell a good 6ft long HDMI cable for under $5 where other places can be much higher, I see no reason why they can't for anything else they sell. I haven't heard anyone around here even complain about a HDTV mount from MONOPRICE. Personally I don't see how these Basic ones could be so expensive anyway?!?! As long as you get one designed for the size and weight of your HDTV, and you mount it to the Wall correctly, that means into the middle of the studs and not the drywall, your going to be fine.

Some Wall mounts have extra features like being able to lock it. Then if you happen to have a break-in at least they didn't get your HDTV!!! Personally that monoprice mount sound good and should do the job just fine.

I have my 58B560 attached to a $79 mount I purchased off of Amazon a few years ago. It did it's job prior to the Samsung with my Sony 52" XBR2 with no problems. The Sammy bolted right up, not much to these wall mounts unless you get into retractable units.

Just make sure you attach the mount to structure, not drywall. I used 6 lag bolts right into the studs, I can stand on this baby as she is not going anywhere.

You have 2 mounts, exactly the same, but one is twice as much, which one are you going to buy? The cheap $50 one, or the $100 one with lots of overhead and a name attached to it paying for advertising so it's twice as much?!?! Maybe it's just a high markup.

It's hidden behind your HDTV, so does a Name brand matter?!?! Does the price paid from Best Buy over a much cheaper one Online mean the expensive one is better? Some people just don't care about the price. Doesn't matter, don't even bother looking, that's fine. Throwing money into the Economy helps people keep their jobs.
