Hi guys! I have a projector that I have been working on to either sell or replace my current one. I picked it up from auction and Im fairly certain it has a color wheel problem. I think I can probably fix the color wheel or sensor by cleaning it out with air duster but I have been looking at other units to take the color wheel from just in case. I located a unit with some lines on the screen. Based on what i have been told the color wheel is probably ok in this unit. This would not be a symptom of a bad color wheel correct?

If the projector in question is getting all the colors, than the wheel is fine. Broken color wheels typically mean a single color on the screen (wherever the wheel happens to be stopped in the optical path).
