Anyone know enough about this technology to predict how picture quality will compare to plasma (and other non CRT systems) in areas such as contrast, black level and screen door effect?

According to our RCA rep, the bulb is around 2000 hours and easily replaced by the consumer. This is one of the great features on this set, and will cost about $100-200.

Thanks. This product is quite exciting. It cost less than plasma, is table-top, doesn't have the burn-in problems, and is less expensive than DLP. I already have a CRT rear-projection 47" unit but in a couple of years wouldn't mind upgrading to one of these unit (after all the kinks are worked out). Does anyone know how long the light bulb lasts and how much it would cost to replace it?
