I am all set on getting a dual core cpu but need to find a good board for it.


What are you guys thoughts on this

I like the fact it is matx to get more space in my case and also the onboard hdmi for blu ray playback.


Seems very good to me but i am still very new to the htpc scene

Unless you are already committed to the Intel path, you might consider a platform based upon RS780.


The MSI 7411 is a great uATX HTPC board.

This is the board I have. So far it has been rock solid.

Yeah I am commited to the intel path

So for blu ray playback etc it holds up well i assume?

Also with regards blu ray playback is it limited in XP and if so would i need to get vista, which i really don't want to do!!

I used VISTA, but I believe Blu_ray works fine in XP. Personally, for a Media Center, I think Vista is a much better solution than XP.
