thoughts on using three Emotiva T2+ as my LCR with a AT screen

I am in the process of getting the gear for my new theater build. Epson 5050UB will throw image to a 140" AT screen. I want to hang the screen and have the LCR behind it. I am really leaning toward getting three Emotiva T2+ (or T1+) as my LCR. The HSU subs will be recessed in each front corner. I have never NOT had a "labeled" Center channel.

You certainly have the right idea. Another option is the JBL 590s when on sale half-off.
The Klipsch RP-280 towers are on sale at Crutchfield for $399 each: Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-280F (Ebony) Floor-standing speaker at Crutchfield
When using an AT screen, three identical speakers is the acoustic ideal for your LCR.
Lots of options available at that price-point.

Go for it. It would be the acoustical ideal, too.

Hi,

Sure, but, what size room? Dimensions? And how far is your listening distance from the speaker faces to your listening position?

Very best,
I use three identical towers behind an AT screen. Works great. The only problem is deciding which 3 towers to use...the ones suggested above should be fine for most HT applications and are considered great "bang for the buck" choices.

Good luck,
Steve
Now that I think about it, 3 x JBL Stage A190 at $300 apiece might be the barn burner deal of the season for this kind of setup... Go to jbl.com

Is there a benefit to run the same brand of speakers for

Very best,
Room is 20x16 x9 with two rows of 5 theater seats with a riser.

Would you get the JBL 190 or 590? both are amazing deals right now. Probably going to power with the Denon x4700 with no plan on an AMP.

If the 590 is on sale fro $500 or less each, then that's the better deal. The 500-series has actual compression drivers for their tweeters, and a reportedly better waveguide (or horn). It's a better overall speaker than the 190.
I think your question to me was cut off. If you were asking about matching the surrounds to the fronts, then I am in total agreement with that - as long as you have the space for them.
Three 190s = $900.
Three T1+s = $1050
Three RP-280Fs = $1200
Three T2+s = $1500
Three 590s = $1500

Thanks. I think I am going to go with the 3 JBL 590 on sale. A lot of good chatter about them over the years. I Already have four of the Emotiva E2+ for my surrounds ( had to jump on the sale and I live the look). I think I may go with a simple Monoprice speaker for the Atmos (x2). thanks for input

These ones are on sale, and I would get two pairs of them: Monoprice Alpha Ceiling Speakers 8in Carbon Fiber 2-way (pair) - Monoprice.com
Four Atmos speakers are really worth it. It gives you the front-to-back envelopment.

Can't go wrong with either JBL, imo. And the free return shipping just in case (and without the 20% pre-emptive upcharge cough cough SVS) is the cherry on top!
With a cavity behind an AT screen, I'm not sure I'd be looking at anything other than DIYSG HT8s or HT10s (when they're back in stock). With a basic finish, even buying the full flat-pack and assembled crossovers, either would still be under $300/speaker.

In my opinion, the cavity will not make a difference because the speaker is not against the wall. Plus the sound is KEY and the JBL 590's sound should outweigh any in-wall speaker.
