Hi all, Please excuse my ignorance but I'm a little confused, Ive just bought a

Panasonic HC-X920 camcorder and whilst I awaited delivery I did a little

research and discovered that AVCHD format was a pain when using Photoshop

Pro on Mac. There are reams and reams on which software is best to convert

said format into a more PSP and Mac friendly format and as such began

feeling a great sense of impending doom!.

However, no sooner had I received the camcorder I inserted a memory card,

filmed about 1 minutes worth of footage and eagerly stuck the card in the

side of my Macbook pro, and to my amazement it ran no problem!

Now my question is why are there so many people having issues when I

had none??

Adobe products have been OK with AVCHD for quite awhile. I don't have an Apple, but my reading suggests that Apple was slower than most to endorse it. The latest versions of Apple software are OK with it. The reams of reading you've done seem to be about issues that have gone away for those with current gear and software.
