Throw distance of Z3 vs AE700

414 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Tup
I just wanted to know if the projection calculator on projector central is correct:

To project a 100" image, the AE700 would have to be placed at a throw distance of approx. 20'. On the other hand, the Z3 would only have to be placed at an approx. distance of 13'.

Is this correct? Thanks for your help!

The AE-700 can throw an image anywhere between 10 feet and 20 feet for a 100" screen. Which gives you lots of flexability in projector location.
Does the lens of AE700 have to be at the screen center? If so, how do you ceiling-mount this PJ?
The AE 700 has a longer throw range....as John mentioned...10-20ft vs the 10-13 ft for the Z3. However, the Z3 has much more range to it's lens shift than the AE700.

Both have lens shift so don't have to be mounted at center screen and both can be ceiling mounted.
