Yeah but his videos, while i appreciate them. Are subpar. :b he just shows the road! I wanna see some roof/body flex. Maybe some readings on a termlab or something. See if it'd be worth it for me.

Man, it will be a never ending quest. Why not just fork out the coin for some decent car audio subs, big amps, and boxes. 3 12" 2kwatts or so should do it for you.

Yea two may do sealed. Just try it out and see i guess, but youll still need atleast a 1kwatt 2ohm stable amplfier to power them.

I do it for the sound quality of the horn, that poor explorer cant hold pressure in anymore lol.

I have a box with 6 12w0s that run 1kw, and this single 15" XPL loaded THT significantly beats it with more output, cleaner sound, and consuming less power. The JLs significantly dip the headlights and ammeter in an obvious "my car is the one making all that noise" fashion. With the THT the other drivers have to look around more haha

I never put a meter on it to check. Could look into it next week when I get back to my multimeter.

I'm running both a kicker ZR360 and ZR1000 on a 60A fuse. Haven't blown it yet with the horn, went thru 2 with the direct radiators.

My convertible has 1/0 and a 150a fuse to an XS100, ZR240 and ZR360. It fried the factory alternator, so i had it rebuilt and it benched 158a. I run a pair of JL10w3v3s and there is not enough bass, especially with the top down. Not big enough for a horn. I was going to use my pair of solo-baric 15s but they need some fiber work to do it right. I'd consider a TC Sounds 18 in the spare tire well, but they are ^^$$.

To me the THT sounds the best of the many combos of subs I have had in the Explorer. Of 6 12"s, 4 13"s, 4 15"s in the truck, I'd take the single 15 THT over them any day.

With the THT the 35hz fundamental in Decibel is so clean, none of the Direct radiators had such a pure tonal quality at high SPL. I can park outside of bars and rattle things on the shelves inside with this thing. lol
