Thumper,

I have been following your comments on a PLV-60, Have you recieved this unit? What are your first impressions, and are you impressed? I just sent back my sony 10ht ($4800) on anticipation of the PLV-60 ($6495)I would just like to know that I did not make a mistake.

I am still waiting for the first to arrive...


I personally don't think it was a mistake to send the Sony back for the following basic reasons:


1. I was never particularly impressed by the Sony's contrast (adjusted or not). Sanyo has to know this Achilles heel and should have easily raised the bar with its new unit.


2. I believe the "settled" street price for the PLV-60 will shortly be about $500 less than you mentioned.


3. If the Sanyo doesn't live up to expectations you can always go back to the Sony. All you have to loose is a little time...
