Well its been a few years and i think its time to upgrade my trusty rsx 1057

I havent really been looking around and am wondering if i should just go with the Rotel 1550. I am really just looking for the better video processing out there now.. I have B&W 7 series for front L/R and a LCR600 s3 for the center with some definitive tech mounted on the wall for rears.. OH also since i have moved i feel like my center gets lost, its not very upfront and i find my self turning it up..

with that said anything else out there in that price range i should be checking out?

The Rotel + B&W combinations sound very good to me (from the demos I've heard), so I would stick with that. Regarding upgrading solely for video switching, you might want to consider just keeping your 1057 and adding a separate video switcher/processor like the DVDO Edge. I'm not sure if your 1057 decodes the lossy formats, but that's not a show stopper IMO...especially considering how good the core DD and DTS bitstreams sound off of Blu-ray! Good luck!
