That's right, folks. After about 3 years living with my Onkyo HT-S770, I've moved into a new place, and it's a great excuse to say "out with the old". Since I bought the system, I haven't been able to hear voices and mid-levels clearly from my center & fronts. I'm looking to change that.
I thought about going ahead and replacing all 6 speakers. Problem is, I just bought a Samsung 46" LCD (...and a house), so I'm on a tight budget. So I'm thinking the best solution might be to go ahead and replace the fronts and center - the ones I have a real issue with - and then replace the 3 rear surrounds when I have more cash to play with. But I have no idea where to start.
I've found what looks to be a great deal on the Infinity TSS 3-in-1 speaker, which would solve the problem in one swoop - but can't seem to find any reviews on it. Anyone have any experience? Would I be jumping out of the frying pan & into the fire if I went with it (I'm a little worried about the 3-in-1 thing)?
Or would I be better off just going with a complete set of Fluance's? Or something else?
I can only afford to spend about $300 right now, which I know puts me at the bottom of the barrel. But if anyone has any thoughts for the best way for me to get out of Onkyo Speaker Hell on the cheap, I'd really appreciate it.
