Tint control grayed out on Sammy DLP 61"

I now have 2 each 61" DLP's in the house but they have different firmware. The one I just was given, has a vertical menu system and no matter which video mode I choose, the TINT control in grayed out.
The DLP I bought 7 years ago has a horizontal menu system and nothing is grayed out if I select the proper choices, while going thru the PICTURE menus.
Ideas?

YW. Check out pages 28 and 29 as well.

Yes http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/HL-T6187S,

and yes.
2. Connect the USB Memory Drive
to the USB port of your PC.
Copy the file onto the USB Memory Drive.
I went to the sammy site and found an old update file. I unzipped on my pc to see if there was documentation with a version, because the version listed on the sammy site says version 1.00 . don't see any documentation.

I saw those instructions and had already delved into the Detailed Settings, but TINT is on the primary PICTURE menu and never becomes adjustable no matter what I do with MODE, or DNIe, etc. My other 61" DLP with the horizontal menu lets me adjust tint.

I can't talk to the previous owner (my dad) for a few hours, to ask if he had updated the firmware years ago but when I can reach him I'll see if he remembers. My gut tells me that a tech updated his firmware on a previous visit, IIRC.

I cant find the firmware version listed on any TV menu item, either.

The documentation for the firmware update shows you how to check your version.

3. How to check Firmware Version
1. Press the Menu button
on the remote control
2. Go to Setup. On the Setup Menu,
select Function Help.
3. Highlight the On option as
shown above, and then
press the Info button on
the remote control.
The firmware version
appears at the bottom
of the screen.

Thanks!

This set has no "Setup" Menu option, under MENU. (at least not that I could discern)

However, I did find the Function Help, "ON" highlighted, and hit info.

that brought up a ton of info:

Module T-LAU1VAUSC-1008 DATE: 2007-09-19 MICOM: T-LAU1VAUSM-1002
ACL: ACL 107.0.127.64 RFS: RFS: T-LAU1VAUS-070829
Thanks!
