My plasma is supposed to be delivered next week. The box has tip-n-tell indicator. I am wondering what my course of action should be if the indicator is red upon delivery. Do I refuse to accept it? Do I still open the box and try the TV?

If it is red, I would inspect the outer and inner boxes very thoroughly. Then check the plasma and power it up. Don't let the truck driver leave before you have done all of this and you are satisfied it's OK.

These things are packed very well and usually there's no problem even if the "shock watch" is red. However, even if you don't see any damage, if shock/tip sensor is red, you should have the delvery person make a notation on the shipping receipt that it was red.

I was ready for the delivery of my 503CMX and had the driver wait 5 minutes to power it up. No problem.
