I thought it may be helpful to offer a couple tips to those who will do what I did - use two different dishes with an SW-21 switch to pull in two different birds.
1. It seems that it simplifies the process of aiming the dishes if you do each one as a discrete installation. i.e. run the cable direct from the first dish directly to the recvr. and get it aimed.
2. Do the same w. the 2nd dish.
3. Once the two dishes are optimized, fasten the cable from the recvr. to the output on the multi-switch. Run cable from each sat. LNB to the inputs on the switch.
4. THEN run the switch test on the installation screen. I mite have overlooked this step if it weren't for a post in another thread. I made the mistake of running the switch test before the 2nd dish was aimed. The result was that the channels on the 2nd dish didn't appear as being available.
I had trouble aiming the 2nd dish while everything was being run thru the switch. I tried for 20 minutes and decided to use the above described method. (My original dish was already aimed and had been used for
over 15 months.) Once I made a discrete run direct to the recvr. from the 2nd dish, I was able to lock on in a few minutes. This could have been a fluke, but i doubt it. I have always had good luck aiming.

Of course the above info may come w. instructions in some packages, i didn't have any. At the time i bot my recvr., there was only one sat. to pick up.
