I recently had an entertainment cetner built to house a new Samsung 50" DLP (that many readers and posters on this forum helped me choose). Can you hook up Tivo with a cable connection or do you also need a phone jack as I have been told? My cable jack is neatly placed in the back of the cabinet but the phone jack is on an adjacent wall - if a phone jack is necessary is it worth having an electrician put another phone jack behind the wall unit?

And a phone jack is necessary for you to get your guide data. You'll have to decide if its worth having another jack installed.

Or you buy one of those add a phone jack things. The kind you plug into your phone line and outlet on one end and just an outlet on the other end. Make sure you get the (more expensive) data type, not just the regular phone type (because it won't work). I believe they run about $75-100, a bit more expensive than getting a phone line ran, but handy if you ever move.
