TIVX M4100SH - copy to HDD from LAN

Hi I am thinking about getting a TIVX M4100SH but I need to be able to copy files directly to the HDD from my LAN without installing NDAS software on my PC. I have picked up from this forum that it has a copy feature but wasn't able to ascertain if this only works with PC's on the Network that have NDAS software installed or whether it is just able to "see" all network attached devices.


Would also appreciate views on how well this works if it is indeed possible (I intend to transfer 1-2 GB files maybe 2 or 3 at a time.
