Hi All

I have a Pioneer PDP5040-HD 50" Plasma. My source is Comcast Digital Cable and, while it looks good on the digital and HD Channels, the analog channels look really bad.

I use 2 cable boxes with this setup - one to record HD (Motorola DCT-6208) and one to record through TiVo.

Is there a scaler that will improve my picture quality significantly with this setup? I would consider spending up to $2K if there would be a dramatic improvement.

Try using a composite connection (RCA plug cable, yellow jacks) from the cable box to the TV, to be used only for viewing analog channels. The TV probably has a better comb filter and if so this connection will improve the picture.

Since you are used to viewing digital and HD channels, don't forget that viewing analog channels will be a letdown.
