I have an LT150/ISCO II combination with a Faroudja DVP2200 providing 600p to the projector.

I have very good deinterlacing with this combination but of course it causes the projector to use its internal scaler to take the image to XGA resolution.

My question is: Would I see a noticable improvement by getting a Faroudja NRS, Crystal Image, or HTPC to output to the projectors native resolution?

Since the deinterlacing part of scaling is the most important, you wouldn't likely see a huge difference between the 2200 and the NRS. I wouldn't drop down to a CI. They are decent scalers, but you would be dropping performance since they use the inferior Genesis chip for deinterlacing. In other words, the pros you would get with the upconverting of the CI will not outway the cons for the worse deinterlacing. An HTPC would be similar performance to the Faroudja, albeit a bit more difficult to use.

Thanks!
