I'm about to build my screen .

I've been going over countless threads about 2.35 vs 2.39 aspect ratio and there seems to be no clear answer ??

Maybe if i asked what is most popular aspect ratio of today's movies ??

Just want the correct ratio for modern day movies ???

Here is a clear answer. All new movies shot in Cinematic mode are 2.39:1

true

Even if the box says it's 2.35:1 it will actually be 2.39:1. I've also done a lot of reading into the subject since I couldn't get head or tails to it .

Long story short, since the 70's or so it's either been 16:9 or 2.39:1 (except for maybe a handful movies).

OK so they are Shot in 2.39 , but are they transferred to Bluray at the same Aspect Ratio ??

Yes, of course. The only movies shot in a native 16:9 Ratio these days are 3D movies,(Film & CGI-Toons) because of the enherent limitations of 3D Cameras (...except IMAX-oriented equipment...)

All scope movies, these days, are 2.39:1. Here is a rub on the deal though. If you plan on using an anmorphic lens, the ratio they give you is 1.333333. Which means it comes out at 2.37. This is why quite a few people with these lens make their screens 2.37:1
