you will ask : what ??? :D

yesterday, I saw TRaider dvd: image was not what Paramount has done the best ( too much stuff on the disc? bitrate was average) and the 5.1 dolby lacked something ( punch? naturality? mufled or limited as many and many dolby now sound ?).

Played some of THE JACKAL dts dvd afterward and was blown away :D : very high bitrate, full rate dts, right in the stomach ! :)

Today, playing ROBOCOP Director's cut ld, just in PCM stereo ( with subs on ). bam ! tons of natural deep bass, super dialogues naturality, FREE sound ( quite good image but not the best ld in my collection ). The PCM is just great, truely !

Now, it might have to do with the way the sound was recorded ( and Verhoeven is surely a better director than S West ggggg :D ), or with the software only ( and no dialnorm ) or a combination of both, I just got a MUCH greater quick and audiophile pleasure, paying attention to dialogues, soundtrack, effects.

It's got that "authoritative" and "audiophile" power that PCM is often famous for.

that's all folks, bye ! :)

waiting to get my MGM Robocop and see and hear what they did.

until the ULTIMATE FINAL DEFINITIVE edition next year doh!!!!!!
