I've been a member here for a while and have done research but my head is about explode. I currently have a 60" LGPX950...yeah the one with the dirty screen effect. Long story short, after two panel replacements and power supply replacement the effect is still there and now one pixel is dead in the new panel.

At this point LG wants to refund my money. Fine. So now what do I replace it with now? I've had the 50" pro level Panny in the past with swappable blades and liked it but it's not very consumer friendly.

I've read horror stories about black filters peeling in the Samsungs, halos, buzzing, etc. I've researched the Panny GT, ST...the LGPZ950 (a little apprehensive with LG now though) I'm just confused and any advice from real world experiences are appreciated.

I need to keep this new tv under 2k and would like it to be as large as possible as my living room is huge. I'd like plasma for the rich colors and speed but it's not a deal breaker.

Thanks!!

I'd go with Panny myself can't go wrong with ST30 or GT30.

What about the black on the ST? I went to BB to look (and we know how reliable in-store displays are setup) but couldn't find the remote to tool around some. Are you talking about the TC-P60ST30?

Thanks!
