I'm in the market for a new pre/pro or receiver. After room correction, my main feature I'm interested in is video processing/scaling. I've been told that a good one can help even high def material over DirecTV look better. I'm not at all familiar with the different makes and versions. I'm not asking for what is absolutely 'best', but which ones (that are found in pre/pros or receivers in the $1500 range) are generally recognized to be very good. Also, are there some that are outdated that I should probably avoid.
