hi i just bought the brand new toshiba 32hl85 to use for my htpc however i cant seem to find any info on resolution on the net or in the manual it wont accept 1366x768 and on 1280x720 the desktop streches over the edges, could someone please tell me waht the best way to output to this monitor, btw im using dvi-hdmi connector, alos alot of my games wont run in anything higher then 640x480, and a bunch wont run at all, due to the lcd monitor (ive used 2, proview 326 and this one now) any help would be very appreciated thanks!


btw i got this tv for 1679 cad, do ou think this is a good price? i got i through employee discount at bb. i work in the h.t. section, and please dont pain me with the stereotypical knownothing of big box stores!! i am somewhat home theatre enclined thank you

three places that can help you setup widescreen resolutions for games

so you can play them at higher than 480p, the widescreengamingforum, tigerdave'swidescreengaming, and HTPCnews.com gaming forum

thats normal that overscan


you should try downloading the newest catalyst drivers 5.8

it should have added overscan adjustment for DVI output
