I have the AVIA test DVD and have gotten mostly nice results. But, is there any way (other than lowering the color values) to reduce the red push on these TVs? Perhaps in service mode?

Thanks

Not that I have found and I have the 34HF81 service manual. However the measured red push on my set is very low (well under 10%) compared to other makes so its not an issue. By the way, if you would like a copy of the Toshiba 34HF81 service manual and schematics on downloadable PDF files, I can sell them for $20 from the expensive CDROM I bought.

I don't remember the exact percentage, but the red push on my 34HF81 is only a few percent. Oddly enough turning ON the "flesh tone" setting DROPPED the red push a couple of percent, exactly the opposite of what I expected. Green and blue didn't change. This was tested with the Avia DVD and filters. Anyway it's way less than Sony, Mistubishi, or many other brands, and I don't find 2 or 3% of red push to be objectionable.

You can download the service manual for free here:
