Toshiba 36HF12 audio question. Help!

190 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Urchinn
Okay, I don't have a 5.1 reciever hooked up or anything like that. Unfortunately, DVDs that do have 5.1 encoding never sound good through the Toshiba set. Is there any way to listen to fancy soundtracks and still be able to hear dialogue? Usually, the music seems to overwhelm the talking and its driving me insane (my wife wants to return the set to Costco...can you see my problem?). HELP...

Thanks

Tony

A: If you can select Dolby 2.0 instead of 5.1 do it.

B: Turn Off the 3D sound (SRS or whatever it is called)

C: Lower the Bass and Treble to the point of the voices coming in clearer. Speaking level is generally more of the mid-range.
Thanks Pigvomit...will give that a try!
