Hi Bicudo,

If you can find or build cables between 30-40 ft in length, that should fix the delay error.

If you get a player that has VGA out, coupled with a transcoder and standard length cables should also be a way to reduce/eliminate the error.

Thanks,

Errol

Thanks Errol, the long cable solved the problem. Now would this be a design flaw? Does it happen to every Toshiba set?

I'm waiting the AA transcoder to connect my HTPC to this set and, as you said, there's no delay error with this setup.

So it seems the error is introduced by the internal line doubler.

Thanks again

Using the Avia test disk I noticed that Y/C delay in my set is off. I've tried 3 different DVD player with Component and S-Video connections (480i) and the result is the same for all. I couldn't find anything in service mode that would seem to help. Does anyone knows how to correct this?

Hi Bicudo,

Problem is not unique to toshes. It appears also in other brand tvs.

Glad you were able to fix it.

What was the exact length you used?

Thanks,

Errol
