I have a Toshiba 65 HDTV and it appears to have a slight burn-in on the sides of the screen. This was due to watching it in the 4:3 ratio. Can anyone help me with any tips on getting rid of this!

Burn in happens in the projection tubes and once it happens it's there for good unless you replace the tubes (Expensive).

However if you expand the picture it eventually it will fade in with usage.

I have a 65" Toshiba and watch lots of 4x3. I have had no burn-in in 2 1/2 years of usage. However I keep the contrast and brightness below 50%. One problem with the Toshiba, there is a reset button on the remote that, among other things, resets the contrast to 100%.
