I have a Toshiba 56hm66 dlp tv that is having some problems. I was in the middle of switching the input on the television and then it just stopped scrolling through the inputs and the screen froze and the tv went blank. I called Toshiba and they informed me that my lamp needed to be replaced. I purchased a y66 from an online retailer and when I put the new lamp in the back-lit screen of the color wheel will shows up, but I can't get a menu or anything to show up including sound. I tried re-inputing the lamp several times and the back door is fastened tightly. I can't afford to send it in, so if I could figure out what is wrong with it I would like to tackle fixing it myself. After reading some posts I thought that it might be the ballast board, but I have no idea... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
