I am soon going to get a Toshiba 65H81 HDTV. I have read that it up converts all sources to 540p. I have a couple questions though.

1. Am I correct?

2. Anyone have experience with the H81 series' upconversion to 540p?

3. I wouldn't need an iScan Pro, would I?

Has anybody had the chance to do a side by side comparison

of the doubler quality in the H81 to the doubler quality of

the Pioneer Elite 510/610/710?

The Toshiba will lose because there are visible artifacts from the 540p conversion process (there pretty much has to be, no?).


I can detect it easily on some scenes, barely on others and not at all on most.
