I know this has been covered, but I would just like to tell the other forum members about this.
I have been disappointed with my HD-D1 (HD-A1 model) because of the constant audio/video sync problems. I have been plagued with audio sync problems EVERY time I watch an HD DVD. I tried to watch King Kong two weeks ago and it was the last straw. Probably 7 audio sync problems in the first hour. I finally got my RA# from Toshiba and sent my unit in.
Shipped the unit off 12 days ago and received it back yesterday. I believe they replaced the HD DVD drive and a circuit board according to an email I received.
Watched Forbidden Planet last night and King Kong tonight. Perfect performance. No skips, sync problems or freeze ups.
Kudos to Toshiba for making HD DVD fun for me again.
