I like the new cell tv for it's sheer versatility and features, plus the design looks superb. For 2010 Toshiba has two major series; the genesis (premium model) and the illusion.

The ZX900 uses the new KIRA2 Panel while the models for the illusion series will incorporate the panel from the current S670U models thus making them cost significantly less than the ZX900 series.

Some questions:
What is "Cell TV"? Does it mean local diming LED backlit LCDS with a large number of cells or what?
Does 3D compatible mean that it the will accept 1080p/48 3D content from 3D Blu-Ray 3D players when they are available this year?
Is the sound bar shown removable so it can be mounted separatly if desired?

the CELL processor is the same processor used in the PS3, its very powerful and it should be interesting to see what Toshiba makes happen on the TV's that will use it
I read somewhere that Toshiba is working on using that processors power to dynamically make 2D movies 3D on a TV without the need for a 3D movie or BD player and yeah i just now noticed that the post above mine states this functionality

My best guess at the provider of the substrate would be AUO as they've announced the future release of a 65" 3D LED and a Ultra Wide 21:9 panel. Just a Guess though as it's one way to get large glass that won't break the bank and Toshiba is having profit problems and exiting Professional Presentation LCD Display business - they are remaining in the Consumer LCD's though. However, Toshiba may very well have an option to rebadge Sharp substrates also even thouigh their flagship will become a 68" they have capacity at other plants that have produced 65" glass. Plenty of time for guesses as we are in that waiting Lull after every CES.

The 65-inch LED-backlit TV panel features 4K2K (4000x2000) high resolution, and consumes 50% less power on average, the maker said. The thickness of this module is only 7.9mm and the contrast ratio is more than 2,000,000:1.
AUO has adopted the pre-mixed "LED Light Cell" with 256 zones for local dimming.
