Toshiba has finally announced the MT5 to the US. There is a press release at the comdex site, www.comdex.com, but you have to be registered to see it. I imagine the release will be on the open market soon.


Interesting points:


1000 Lumens,

600:1 contrast.


So it finally matches the LS110 specs.


Also,


Price is $4995. Which also matches the LS110 and contradicts a press release from Sept. 7. It looks like they decided they could get more than $4000 for this. I guess we'll see if anyone bites.

With the amount of ambient light showing in the add, its gotta be alot more than 1000 lumens.

Okay, we now know that the new InFocus model LS110,

and its clones, the Toshiba model TDP-MT5 and

Boxlight/Studio Experience model Cinema 12SF

all will list for $4999. So now it remains to be

seen who will offer the best discount eventually.

I doubt if the warranty will be the same for each.

Also, who would have the best service/support?
