I have an opportunity to buy a secondhand Stewart Grayhawk screen and wondered if anyone had any opinion on its suitability for use with the Toshiba MT8 (Infocus 7200)?

Many thanks,

The GrayHawk is an excellent choice for the MT8 provided that the foot-lamberts off the screen are sufficiently high. What size of screen is it, and what sort of light control do you have?

It is a 87" wide HDTV format screen. The room is not painted nor furnished in dark colours. The ceiling is white and the carpet is light beige. The walls are a mid-blue colour. The curtains have a blackout lining which help to stop the outside light coming in to the room.

Thanks for your assistance.

I think the GrayHawk is pretty much ideal for use with the MT8 if the screen is 87" wide. If you use the high lamp setting you should get somewhere around 32 Ft-lamberts (1000 lumens/30 square feet x 0.95 gain) which will allow for use with some low level lighting on. You would probably want to use power save mode when watching movies in the dark.
