Toshiba players and upconverting

Hello!

Sorry for the newbish question, but what if I purchased an XA2 and the new Onkyo HDMI? What would do the conversion for SD? The HDDVD, or the Onkyo? Can you turn one off?

Thanks!

You can select the one that you prefer by selecting either the digital input or the analog inputs on the Onkyo.

The XA2 outputs both simultaneously.
I think he meant the upconversion of the video. I have heard people complain that the 605 model has a scaler that cannot be turned off, but some higher end models offer the ability to switch the scaler off and allow passthrough of video, as the player upscales it. I just don't remember which models offer the option to turn it off.

Thanks for your answers guys.

Yes, thats exactly what I meant, sorry.

I wanted to get an XA2, but also have a PS3. Would be nice to be able to turn the Onkyo feature on and off at will.
