Hey guys i've been searching this thread and not to much info on this set? Anyone own 1?? how is it for gaming??? What is SRT and how does this feature work? what are other diffrences compaired to RV530??

Super resolution technology is a feature that is supposed to upconvert and enhance 480/720 signals. Srt is also on my xv545. It does improve the picture when used in moderation. There are 3 modes and 5 adjustment levels to each mode. The mode and level you use is determined by whether you are receiving a 480, 720 signal or a dvd. If set at the right mode and level it does a very good job. I generally leave mine set to auto and there is noticeable improvement.

Nice, im thinking that this will work good for me cuz i only have sd def tv right now... like i said i found this set for $1100 and includes a free logitec remote.. Pretty sure i will be purchasing this today

Srt is a good feature but it wont make a sd picture look like hd. Like I said, there is a noticeable improvement.

I just found it today, but have found ZERO reviews on it.

I would really like to hear some feedback if anyone has any insight.

Ofcourse only True HD Content will look HD but if your saying there is a noticable improvement thats refreshing to hear and will come in handy untill i can upgrade to HD Cable or SAT

I havent heard and toshiba doesnt publish the info. They dont publish their reponse times either. From the looks of my set contrast ratio is pretty high.


I was watching a standard dvd tonight and pq and detail was amazing with and without srt.

It wasnt hd but it sure was close. I have also been noticing the pq on digital channels as well. Although it is only 480i it really looks very close to hd. Analog channels look as good as can be expected - srt improves it but doesnt look hd. That is due to the source more than anything.
