I just purchased the Toshiba REGZA 46XF550U LCD from Costco and got it hooked up last night.
I am trying to figure out how I should properly run the cables to take advantage of the Sony 5.1 surround sound system I have.
The devices I use are as follows:
DirecTV HD DVR
Xbox 360
Daewoo DVG-5200S DVD Player
Sony STR-K790 Audio Receiver
I want to have true 5.1 surround sound for each device, so I want to avoid using the red/white RCA cables.
If I use HDMI cables from the DirecTV and Xbox, and a component cable from the DVD Player, will the digital sound out on the TV work for all 3 of those devices if I run that to the Sony receiver?
If not, what are my other options?
Thanks!
