The SD210 has a good rep because of its value for money, and because it features component outputs beside SCART plugs.
The American equivalent would be the SD2800. Now, before everybody begins to say it is a terrible DVD player, you must know Europeans have much smaller displays than Americans, so we are less prone to notice the chroma bug. Besides, virtually no displays have PAL progressive scan inputs, so for the vast majority of the population, pulldown detection and deinterlacing would be useless features.
Another highly praised Toshiba is the SD510, roughly equivalent to the American SD4700.
